Bathurst Cycle Club – 2017 Summer Criterium Series - Tuesday afternoons

28 November – 19 December 2017, 5:30 - 7:30pm,  Sulman Park – Mt Panorama

Bathurst Cycle Club will be holding a 4 weeks Summer Criterium Series on Tuesday afternoons starting 28 November at 5:30 - 7:30pm. Subsequent rounds will be held 5, 12 & 19 December 2017. There will be 4 grades A, B, C & D. All entrants must be registered with Cycling Australia. There is no entry cost and a progressive points score will be used to determine an overall series winner in each grade.

Racing will be held at Sulman Park at the top of Mt Panorama adjacent to the tall communication towers. Entry will be via McPhillamy Park off Mt Panorama Drive.

Sign-on will be no later than 15 mins before each grade’s race. Racing for each grade will start strictly on time as detailed below. Any late starters will need to run in the next grade up.

Start times for each grade will be:

D Grade – 5:30pm (sign-on by 5:15pm) – Race duration 20 mins + 2 laps
C Grade – 6:00pm (sign-on by 5:45pm) – Race duration 20 mins + 2 laps
B Grade – 6:30pm (sign-on by 6:15pm) – Race duration 25 mins + 2 laps
A Grade – 7:00pm (sign-on by 6:45pm) – Race duration 25 mins + 2 laps

To help run the event each grade is to nominate 2 marshals to assist with 1 of the 4 races each week as outlined below. This will also allow those people to compete in their event, if they are racing, each week.

D Grade Race – 2 x B Grade marshals required at 5.00pm
C Grade Race – 2 x A Grade marshals required at 5.30pm
B Grade Race – 2 x D Grade marshals required at 6.00pm
A Grade Race – 2 x C Grade marshals required at 6.30pm

Each grade to forward their nominated marshals to Norman Wise at before the start of each weeks racing. Each grade must nominate marshals to be eligible to race.

Racing will not be held if there is rain. Any notice of cancellation of a round due to rain will be posted on the Bathurst Cycling Club Facebook page.

Warning do not ride on grassed areas if you don’t want cat heads in your tyres!
